ONE BUCK POT

Payment Information

This page is written in plain language. The jokes stop here. This is what actually happens when you pay OneBuckPot: USD 1 or a custom one-time amount for the pot, plus a fixed USD 0.35 card processing fee.

What this is not

  • OneBuckPot is not a lottery, sweepstake or prize competition, and it does not run any draw.
  • There is no winner and there is no payout to participants — ever.
  • The payment is not an investment. You acquire no share, stake, claim or ownership.
  • The payment is not a charitable donation. No charitable receipt is issued and no donation to any cause is promised.
  • You receive no product, no service, no membership and no feature.

What the counter shows

The number on the home page is the accumulated total of successfully completed payments. It is calculated exactly like this:

Displayed pot = confirmed payments − refunds − lost chargebacks

The counter only changes after a payment event has been confirmed on our server. The browser cannot influence it. A payment notification that is delivered twice is counted once. A payment that differs from the amount recorded for its checkout is not counted. Processing fees do not enter the pot.

The amount is not a balance held, managed or reserved for users. It is a display figure only.

Public numbering

Each confirmed payment receives a public “Bad Decision” number from a counter. If a payment is later refunded or charged back, the amount is deducted again, but the assigned number remains and is never reused.

Amount, currency and fees

The default payment is USD 1 for the pot plus a fixed USD 0.35 card processing fee, for a total of USD 1.35. You can instead choose a one-time pot amount of at least USD 1, in increments of USD 0.01. The same fixed USD 0.35 fee is added once. For example, USD 10 for the pot costs USD 10.35 in total. The amount is validated and recorded on the server before checkout. The payment provider's transaction limit applies.

You may optionally set up a recurring payment of USD 1 for the pot, plus USD 0.35 card processing fee, per week or per month. It is opt-in, it is never pre-selected, and it can be cancelled at any time on the subscription page. Each charge is counted separately and grants nothing. Cancelling stops all future charges; already completed charges are not automatically refunded.

The public wall

After a confirmed payment you may optionally publish a name and a short text on the public wall. This is voluntary, it is visible to everyone, and it provides no benefit. Do not publish anything you do not want to be public. To have an entry removed, write to [OPERATOR CONTACT EMAIL — PLACEHOLDER].

Refunds

Refunds are handled according to the Terms and applicable statutory requirements. Refund requests go to [OPERATOR CONTACT EMAIL — PLACEHOLDER].

Current status of this site

This site uses Stripe for real payment processing. The card-processing fee is added to each transaction. Operator details and tax treatment are still placeholders and must be replaced before the site is promoted.
